There are three changes to the starting pack from the away win against Mongers with Martin karugonjo, Frank Kidega and Desire Ayera earning starts.
Ivan Kabagambe will win his 50th cap when he runs out in black on Saturday afternoon. He made his debut against Rhinos in 2019. The try scoring prop and has notched up 10 points so far in this year’s premier league.
He will pack down alongside Nathan Bwembale (Hook) and Martin Karugonjo (Loose) upfront. Alex Ssebagala will provide hooker cover from the bench, Ivan Wavamunno and Alema Ruhweza are also included amongst the front row replacements.
Frank Kidega resumes his second-row partnership with Umar Bakulumpagi, their 5th start this season. Douglas Komakech being the reliable cover for the engine room occupants.
From his Man of the Match exploits, Alex Aturinda retains the number 8 jersey and is joined by Macosians Desire Ayera (Blind) and Humprey Tashobya (Open) to complete the backrow.
Elsewhere, Ivan Magomu captains the side and is again partnered at half-back by Conrad Wanyama.
An Injury sustained in last weekend’s game in Entebbe to William Nkore means he misses out, so into the fold comes Jeremiah Josenu who lines out with Timothy Odongo in the midfield.
An unchanged back-three sees Moses Olweny (Left) and Paul Bagota (Right) continue on the wings, with Timothy Kisiga – the pirates top try scorer so far – starting at full back and having scored a try in five consecutive games.
Steven Alul returns to take a place among the replacements alongside Sydney Gongodyo, Musa Muwonge and Jones Kamiza.
Date: Saturday, February 18
Kick-off: 16H00 EAT
Venue: Kings Park Arena
