On Saturday 4th Feb 2023 Humphrey aka “Tash” will run out for his 50th appearance for the Stanbic Black Pirates.
Tash made his debut in 2018 in the first round of the Uganda cup 76 -17 win against Mbale Elephants.
After his exploits as Man of the match in the last away win against Jinja Hippos, he will be joined in the back row by fellow young upcoming workhorses like Moses Zziwa at the open side and Sydney Gongodyo as the eighth man.
Nathan Bwambale (Hook) and Alvin Rukundo (Loose) return to join Alema Ruhweza (Tight) as the front three.
Frank Kidega will partner Douglas Komakech in the engine room, with Shadrach Manano providing cover among the finishers.
The half-back combo of Conrad Wanyama and Captain Ivan Magomu continue to hoist the sails at 9 and 10 respectively.
It is an all-St. Mary’s midfield marshaled by William Nkore, with Timothy Mala Odongo on his outside.
Benson Ngono and Paul Bagota retain their positions at the left and right wings respectively. Timothy ‘Safe hands’ Kisiga lines up at full-back to complete the back three. Moses Olweny passed his return-to-play protocols, allowing him space amongst the finishers.
Versatile Jones Kamiza comes in to provide a backline cover.
A 6/2 split is preferred for the finishers, with seasoned campaigners Musa Muwonge, Martin Karugonjo, and Ivan Wavamunno covering the front row. Patrick Matovu and Mubaraka Wandera will look to make an impact in the back row when called upon.
