Fresh from winning the Africa Men’s 7s title with the Uganda Cranes, Desire Ayera will combine with Mubaraka Wandera and Alex Aturinda to make up the back-row for the Round 17 game against the Hippos at Dam Waters Rugby Grounds. Sunday Jaguar will start at the hook with Alema ‘Didi’ Ruhweza and Peter Bisaso on either side. The engine room will be manned by Humphrey Tashobya and Sydney Gongodyo, with Douglas Komakech providing suitable cover off the bench. Seasoned campaigners Ivan Kabagambe and Edgar Pajob will provide cover for the props. Alex Ssebagala and Moses Zziwa complete the forwards’ brigade. Conrad Wanyama starts at scrum-half, and William Nkore returns from injury to line up outside him in the number 10 jersey. Ivan Magomu will captain the side and will form the midfield partnership with James Mugisha. The back-three sees a rejuvenated Timothy Odongo on the left-wing and Speedster Arnold Atukunda on the opposite wing. Stephen Alul wears the number 15 jersey at the expense of Timothy Kisiga who is out due to a shoulder injury sustained in the just concluded Africa Men’s 7s competition. Jones Kamiza, Solomon Okia, and Paul Bagota will be the reliable finishers to cover the backline.
