Desire Ayera and Kelvin Balagade will run out for their 50th appearance for the Stanbic Black Pirates.
Desire made his debut five days after his 18th birthday as a finisher against the Rams in a huge 50 – 05 win.
While Kelvin made his debut in 2018 in the first round of the Uganda cup. It was a dream debut for the teenager at the time who got his name among the try scorers in an emphatic 76 – 17 win.
Both powerful backrowers have gone on to represent their county in both the 7s and 15s codes.
They will be joined by fellow Uganda crane 7s workhorse Alex Aturinda at the open side.
The front row of Nathan Bwambale (Hook), Alema Ruhweza (Loose), and Peter Bisaso (Tight) remain unchanged from the starting front three in last weekends’ bonus point home win against Mongers.
Frank Kidega welcomes back second-row partner Abel Agum to the engine room as the only modification in the tight five, with the dynamic Sydney Gongodyo among the finishers.
The half-back combo of Conrad Wanyama and William Nkore are tasked to continue to hoist the sails at 9 and 10 respectively.
Captain Ivan Magomu continues his fine form in the mid-field with assistant co-captain Isaac Massa who has marshaled the defense at the outside center recording clean sheets in the last two outings.
Timothy Odongo and Joshua Engwau have passed their return to play protocols, allowing Timothy to start at the blind wing and Moses to get space amongst the finishers.
Arnold Atukunda fresh from his hat trick in the 62 -00 win against mongers gets to put on the number 14 jersey and Timothy ‘Safe hands’ Kisiga is at full-back.
Moses Zziwa has been astonishing after coming back from injury. A tackling machine in every sense of the word, Zziwa was all over the park – chopping away at the opponents at free will making 23/23 tackles in the last two games coming off the bench.
He is joined in the finishers’ brigade by Sunday jaguar, Ivan Wavamunno, Edgar Pajob, Humphrey Tashobya, and Steven Alur make the remaining finishers.
